The older kids (2.5 -4 years old) also did some circle time activities with building towers with paper blocks, putting the paper blocks on and off the board as well as going over AB patterns with the paper blocks. Our older infants (6 months -18 months) also participate in this curriculum with different activities that are suitable for their age. This month the older infants had fun with playing with different types of blocks as well as putting paper blocks on and off a felt board which taught them how to stick the paper blocks on the felt board and then I would ask them to take the paper blocks "on" and then take them "off".
We also got a lot of free play with toy tools, a toy tool bus and a toy tool station where the children could actually pretend to be "daddies" and learn how each tool worked. They had a lot of fun with this type of dramatic play during free play in the mornings and afternoons. We have also been enjoying the outdoors a lot and getting lots of healthy outside play on the equipment as well as playing fun outdoor games. So far our Summer has been a BLAST!!!
